Recycling a copper tank

Copper sheet is becoming increasingly more expensive which makes recycling even more important. The copper tank below was obtained free from freecycle in my local area, a link to this site is on the links page. The first copper tank I used I cut up myself by hand, it was hard work but the copper soon got used up. I had help to cut up this tank with a plasma cutter, this cuts through the metal like a knife through butter, something to work towards.
When you start looking for your copper tank it is best to make sure it has none of the foam insulation attached as the removal of it could release toxic fumes, making cleaning it up messy and time consuming. There are many out there without the foam so make enquiries if you are getting it off the internet for free. Try http://www.freecycle.org/

Make sure you wear heavy gloves as the metal could make a nasty cut.
